Enchantment Essentials LootCrate

I am wary of LootCrate but I still couldn’t resist giving this particular box a go because of the theme, and thankfully, no regrets.

20180403_133418.jpg

Let’s see what was inside:

  • Hogwarts Crest T-shirt (it is short sleeves). IT isn’t my absolute favourite but it is soft and it fits so not complaining.
  • Doe Patronus pin, because Lily and James shared one and well, a Patronus is an important thing to be able to do, right?
  • Newt Scamander, a Movie Scrapbook, which is probably my favourite piece in this box and I utterly enjoyed it.
  • A set of four notebooks that look similar to moleskins so loving that, because I can never have too many notebooks (someone send help, I do have quite a lot of them!)
  • A Ravenclaw (it was actually a “House” one but I am Ravenclaw, so yeah) magnet which is proudly displayed on our fridge now.
  • And a door sign with Wizards/muggles text. (Probably my least favourite item from this box).

It was a fun box, the book was a pleasant thing to find in it and I was very happy with it. However the shipping takes ages to get here, I have been tracking it for like a month! Not fond of that part at all.

Poor Unfortunate Souls LitJoy Crate Unboxing

Since we just had the Middle Grade unboxing, let’s do the Young Adult one!

20180330_095612.jpg

Isn’t it a fun box? I was pleasantly surprised yet again by it, and also ended up loving items I didn’t expect to love once I actually had them in my hands. So here we go, starting with the book and going clockwise:

  • To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. This was on my TBR for a while so it was good to find it in this box.
  • A plush heart keychain, which is extra soft and I don’t usually like pompom like things.
  • Seashell and Starfish lights, which I am loving but will donate to a friend that really wanted some underwater/beach themed props.
  • Compass earrings, sadly you can’t see them well, but they are really cute and even come with an extra back post (?).
  • Two Unputdownable bookmarks.
  • A “Shelfies Over Selfies” pin which I approve of.
  • Mermaid artwork by this month’s artist.
  • Mermaid theme card. I love how they match so well with the art print and it means extra arty work.
  • A Little Mermaid sticker (I absolutely adore stickers, book box makers, do more stickers! Seriously!)
  • And finally a sequins cushion cover. I ended up finding it extremely fun and drawing a “heart” on it.

Fire & Ice LitJoy Crate

This beautiful box peaked my interest and I just couldn’t resist it. I mean, fire, ice, wolves, magic words for me.

20180328_132833.jpg

It is my first Middle Grade crate, and it was fun to receive it. Starting from the book and going clockwise:

  • Ice Wolves by Amie Kaufman. I was thinking of preordering it but it sounded fun to get it in a LitJoy Crate. It comes with a signed bookplate and a letter from Amie.
  • Elementals bookmark.
  • Theme card with a wolf on the cover,
  • “Ice” candy sucker, which is meant to represent an ice spear from the book, and hey, it is sweet!
  • Activity booklet with puzzles and other interesting bits.
  • Dragon Decal Sticker, which I loved, I can see it going on my laptop.
  • A compass, which was kinda unexpectedly cool and it glows in the dark.
  • The Gathering Storm from The Hidden World of Changers. I have never heard of it but it sounds fun!
  • 3D Wolf LED Night Light which I finally found an adapter for and it is cute and cool and I like it! It is just fun and I will probably have it on my desk.

All in all, I was super pleased with it. I kept squealing and being excited about the contents (I think I was the least excited by the Changers book and that’s mostly because I didn’t know much about them). But seriously, gushing over everything.

20180319_134048.jpg

Now if you’re singing along with me (I sang that in my head), join in to sea the contents of this box (sea what I did there?). Starting with the book and going clockwise:

  • The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw. I’ve been looking forward to reading this and now I even get the bonus of the Clubhouse meeting.
  • Siren Song bath bomb by Ascent. I love the smell and as soon as you opened this box it wafted up and made you want to figure out what it was.
  • Necklace by Oh Panda Eyes. It is gorgeous and I love it and I wore it the next day because I couldn’t resist.
  • Mermaid kisses vanilla lip balm.
  • Mermaid “tumblr” which I absolutely loved, it is cute, useful and just fun.
  • Under the Sea theme card.
  • The Wicked Deep postcard
  • A trio of bookmarks based on the sisters, which made me swoon SO much! I love items inspired by the book included.
  • An invite to the Clubhouse (it is a little hidden…)
  • And a publishers promotional postcard (I found out there were differnet versions, but I love my crumpets one!)

If you’d like to buy a subscription, you can use code MOON17 to get 5% off. I am not a rep, so no bonus or anything for me, but I still love the box and the community (we even have a book squad thanks to it and I have found my best friends there).

Family Ties Wildest Dreams Unboxing

This one was hard to guess the book.

20180319_133255.jpg

Let’s do an unboxing thing and this time let’s do it counterclockwise starting from the book:

  • Far from the Tree by Robin Benway. A family story about two sisters and a brother.
  • Far from the Tree tissues for those moments that make you cry while you read the book.
  • The Weasleys Bodywash/Bubble Bath by Geeky Clean. I love it has a pump bottle! Very very handy.
  • The Carters tea by Rosie Lea Tea. It is inspired by The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.
  • A personalised letter from the author about the book.

I have to say the book isn’t exactly my cup of tea, but that tea definitely is and I have been enjoying it at work.

February Yume Twins Unboxing

Who likes cutes things? I do, even if I am not fond of being called cute as the first word to describe me. But Yume Twins is full of cute things.

20180306_134257.jpg

This month’s theme was Shiba & Friends and look at all the cuteness! Starting form the Shiba plushie and going around:

  • Mochi Shiba Plushie. Apparently this one is called Okaka, and he’s super fluffy and cute!
  • Mochi Shiba Bath Bomb. I thought it was some sweets but apparently it is a bath bomb with a cute mochi shiba inside, can’t wait to use it!
  • Sumikko Gurashi Omamori, good luck charm with the good wishes.
  • Kawaii Animal Duster.
  • Mochi Shiba Memo Pad, and it has cute doggie full pages that look amazing for letters and cute notes.
  • Paw Beanies Squishie, which I absolutely love and want to carry everywher ebtu at the same time not because don’t want to destroy it.
  • Cinnabon Squishie, which was a bonus by using a code.

Isn’t it full of cuteness?

Upon Her Throne Litjoy Crate Unboxing

Who wants to be a queen? No? Yes? I admit I may not particularly want the hassle but it sounds like a fun thing to do now and then. And in this month’s LitJoy Crate you can get a tiny taste of that.

20180305_133437.jpg

So going round and starting with the book:

  • The Queen’s Rising by Rebbeca Ross. I was going to preorder this book because she chooses knowledge as her passion and the book sounded intriguing. It came with author letter and signed bookplate.
  • Underneath is a Constellation Scarf that is so utterly gorgeous I can’t help but love it.
  • That gorgeous crystal necklace is a Stone of Eventide Necklace.
  • On top of it is the booklet with all the explanations as to why they chose each item and this time it includes other book recommendations.
  • Restore Me sampler.
  • Sansa Stark print by Yara Noe. It is hauntingly dark and I love it even though at first I didn’t know who it was.
  • Heartless Quote Bookmark which has a delicate decoration I am enjoying very much.
  • Passion Bath Bomb (apparently I got With which is the green one) by Fizzy Fairy Apothecary.

This box is so lush and somehow makes me want to run a bath and just read this book and relax.

Rise Up! Illumicrate Unboxing

20180305_134221.jpg

This gorgeous chock full of stuff box was so full they had to delay it to get boxes of the right size. And they never cease to amaze me. Let’s start from the Illumicrate card:

  • Inimitable Mug by Abbie Imagine.
  • Blood and Sand by C. V. Wyn which I already had as it had some delightful preorder incentives, however the book doesn’t go to waste since it goes to a friend.
  • Restore Me/Shatter Me notebook.
  • Daggermark by R. Jack.
  • Blood and Sand temporary tattoo and a Pin too.
  • Scarlet lip balm by Lovely Lip Balm (it is Red Cherry flavoured and yum!)
  • The Hazel Wood notebook with a tiny pen.

Medieval Mayhem Fanmail Unboxing

The theme was exciting for me, and then they announced it’d include an ARC of Tess of the Road which I was looking forward to reading, so definite yes from me.

Just in case you didn’t know, they aren’t a “book box” but rather they do fandom goodies, which may coincide with bookish fandoms.

20180227_133523.jpg

So here’s the contents of the box:

  • An ARC of Tess of the Road. Dragons, dragons, dragons, what else can I say?
  • Nailed It! nail decals with chainmail, they are quite cool looking (or should I say medieval looking?)
  • The Medieval Mayhem leaflet with suggestions of shows to watch and things to do.
  • My box was SO magical and full of mayhem, that the necklace/charm that was supposed to come with it disappeared (see the black empty jewelry box). No worries, they are lovely and will send the missing item.
  • A Merlin pouch. I love Merlin and by doing my unboxing on Instagram discovered that a couple of my friends also do.
  • And a heavy comb for Game of Thrones (no risk of breaking I think).

All in all a nice lovely box which made me quite happy.
